He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cheryl Lynn Meier; his parents, Edwin L. Meier and Bernice L. Meier; his children, Sean Patrick Jackson (Robert), Anilise Stewart (Scott), Phillip Meier (Stacey), Julie Lankford (John), Kadi Meier, Tina Meier and Melissa Meier; and his sibling Terry Meier (Bobbie).

Memorials may be made in Rickey's name to Toys for Tots for Lincoln County Detachment #1405.
