He was predeceased by: his parent Alfred Sr; his grandson Gary Wayne Nelsen; and his son-in-law Vince Spaziano. He is survived by: his parent Margaret Dorothy Brethold, Sr.; his child National Championships; his wife Jane Nelsen of Elsberry; and his children, Don Nelsen (Cathy) of Elsberry, Sue Spaziano of Lake St, Sandra Nelsen of Antioch, CA, Alfred Nelsen III (Donna) of Elsberry and Sherry Hart (Chris). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
