He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriet Modeen and Olaf Modeen; his brother Robert Modeen; his siblings-in-law, Carol Modeen and Michael Olson; and his daughter-in-law Janet Modeen.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary; his children, Donald Jr., David Modeen (Kathy) and Pamela Walker; his granddaughters, Jessica Hamm (Charles), Nicole Hark (Adam), Mackenzie Wahba (Nader) and Morgan Walker; his great grandchildren, Preston Hark of Elizabeth Wahba and Abigail Hark of Elizabeth Wahba; and his sister Barbara Olson. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
