He was predeceased by: his son Roger Toppins; his great grandchild Claire Toppins; his parents, Samuel Toppins and Ida May Toppins; his brother James; his sister-in-law Eva Toppins; his niece Suzanne Toppins; his sister-in-law Gleta Jett (Carl); and his niece Sandra Hale.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Toppins; his children, Teri Bunkoske (Jacob), Michael Toppins (Catharine), Sheri Flavin (Patrick) and Patrick Toppins; his grandchildren, Matthew Toppins (Lauren), Jacob Bunkoske, Jr., Christopher Toppins, James Toppins (Kelly), Sarah Toppins and Kristyn Toppins; his great grandchildren, Dylan Toppins, Walker Toppins, Maguire Toppins, Theodore Toppins and Henry Toppins; and his niece Joyce Blaylock.
