Kenneth G. Lawson Sr. Obituary
Kenneth G. Lawson, Sr. of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, November 22, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Marvin W. and Emma E. (Rost) Lawson. He left from this life at his home, with his family by his side on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the age of 89.
Ken was united in marriage to Nova Lee Graham on December 26, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. To this union four children were born Kenneth, Jr., Sherry, Janice and Rhonda.
Ken went to work at the age of 16 for the family business, Lawson Bros. Flooring Company in St. Louis. He retired as the Vice-President of the company at the age of 70. He and Nova would then move to Cuba and he continued working in construction and flooring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, painting and spending time with his family and friends.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents Marvin W. and Emma E. (Rost) Lawson; three grandchildren Felisha Woollard, Jordan Kent and Ryan Turnbough; one great-granddaughter Nova Lee Turnbough.
Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of sixty-nine years Nova Lee Lawson of the home; four children Kenneth G. and wife Loraine Lawson, Jr. of Gamaliel, Arkansas, Sherry and husband Randy Turnbough of Ozark, Missouri, Janice and husband Ed Hughes of Cuba, Missouri, Rhonda and husband Jim Mangan of Forsyth, Missouri; four grandchildren Aaron Turnbough, Gabe Lawson, Justin and wife Angie Turnbough, Brad Kent; five great-grandchildren Trey Rainey, Autumn Abney, Shi Ann Evans, Bryce Turnbough, Kaleb Kent; two great-great-grandchildren Kora and Avery Evans; one brother Nolan and wife Marilyn Lawson of Forsyth, Missouri; two sisters-in-law Noma Kamler of Cuba, Missouri and Delores Graham of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. at the Church of Christ 81 Merri Hills Drive Cuba, Missouri.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ with Pastor Steven Wick, officiating.
