He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hewkin and Della Hewkin; and his siblings, Clinton Hewkin and Doris Morton (J. W.). He is survived by: his former wife Lenora Fern Sullivan; his wife Ruth Hewkin of Davisville, MO; his children, Mitch Hewkin (Debra) of Steelville, MO, Michele Heberer of Washington, MO and Kevin Hewkin (Kayla) of Davisville, MO; his stepdaughter Kimberly Knaust (Tom) of O'Fallon, IL; his grandchildren, Johnnie Heberer, Ethan Heberer, Della Hewkin, Adalynn Hewkin and Emerson Hewkin; his stepgrandchildren, Jacob Knaust and Katelyn Knaust; and his sister-in-law Ruby Hewkin of Overland, MO. He is also survived by other relatives; and friends.
