She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Plass and Mary Plass; her husband Alvin "Al" Groth; and her siblings, George Plass and Ann Witcraft (Earl).
She is survived by: her children, Dwight (Ginger) of Scottsdale, AZ, Dennis (Izumi) of Arlington, VA, Doug of O'Fallon, MO, Mary Naegele of O'Fallon, MO and Joanne Ernst (Ben) of St. Augustine, FL; and her sisters, Helen Marxen and Loretta Tersteeg. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
Through real life experiences she taught her children the importance of a strong faith in God, good moral values, and acts of charity.
