He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Edwards and Frances Edwards (Shoulders); his former wife Sharon K. Saffell; his siblings, Donna Ramsey (Richard) and Gene; and his sister-in-law Liz Binder.
He is survived by: his wife Zola Edwards; his children, Stephanie Edwards Avedon of Los Angeles, CA and Abbie Edwards Chapman (Chris) of Phoenix, AZ; his stepson Kevin (Belinda); his grandchildren, Iris Avedon, Navi Avedon, Spirit Avedon, Grant Chapman, Carson Chapman and Reese Chapman; his nieces, Brooke Foster (Clay), Amy Thomas (Mark) and Dianna Montoya (Frank); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan Foster, Avery Foster, Delaney Foster, Regan Thomas Long (Chris), Chloe Thomas and Skyler Thomas; and also Theodore Long.
The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
