He was predeceased by: his mother Kathleen White Miles; his son Daniel B. Miles III; his father Daniel B. Miles Sr.; and his brother Mahlon W. Miles. He is survived by: his children, Katherine Miles Mueller (Mark Mueller), Emily Kazmaier (Jason Kazmaier) and Thomas Miles (Nataliya); his grandchildren, Jonathan Kazmaier, Daniel B. Miles IV, Nicholas Kazmaier, Katherine Kazmaier, Sophia Miles, Emma Mueller and Lydia Kazmaier; his siblings, Ellen Miles-Taylor, Janie Miles-Smith (Paul) and Frank Miles; and his wife Katherine MacCarthy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to be made to C.A.R.E. organization in memory of his many faithful companions over the years, including dogs, Honey, Momma Kitty, Gabe and Jake or the Holy Rosary Catholic School where his children attended elementary school and may be left in care of the funeral home.
