It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Emerson of Clinton, Missouri, born in Creston, Iowa, who passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edwin Emerson and Tiny Vida Emerson (Reekie); his niece Angie Lakers; his half-brother Gary Hallett; and his great-niece Jennifer Lightfoot.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Emerson; his son Charles Scott Emerson (John Williams IV) of Las Vegas; his sister Roberta Kay Bellman of Davie; his nephews, Bobbie Lightfoot, Eddie Lightfoot, Shane Webb and Jerry Hood; his niece Lena Hood; his great-nephew Frankie Lightfoot; his great-nieces, Sara Akinduro, Beth Lightfoot and Kayla Lizotte; and his close friend Karol Meoli.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross and can be left in care of the funeral home.
