He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Carl Klopfenstine and Hazel Niona Klopfenstine (Richie); and his brothers, Stanley Klopfenstine and Harold Klopfenstine. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Leona Garrett; his daughter Lisa Renee (Sam); his grandchildren, Richard Klopfenstine, Derik Cantrell, Brian Cantrell, Jocelyn Rold and Grace Fockler; his great grandchildren, Rylan, Chase, Kenton, Leland and Paisley; and his brothers, Gil Klopfenstine (Linda) and Gary Klopfenstine (Debbie). He is also survived by sister.
The family suggests contributions to Fisher House Foundation in Carl's memory and may be left in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
