He is survived by: his spouse Pat Akers; his son Timothy Akers (Carla); his granddaughters, Hailey Akers and Clara Akers; and his siblings, Linda Moore of Trenton, Missouri and Marvin Akers (Diane) of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
