He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Lee and Iva Maude Cox (Tracy); his granddaughter Sara Howard; his great grandchildren, Hugo Dickerson and Jack Courtney; and his siblings, Angelina Gray, Ethel Paxton, Evelyn Cowan, Iva Lee Knouse, Lela Phillips and Delbert Lee Cox, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Nelda R. Osborn; his daughters, Debbie Dickerson (Jack) of Chillicothe, Missouri, Barbara Jenkins (Mark) of Chillicothe, Missouri and Becky Eckert (Rick) of Chillicothe, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Leigha Leppin (Ean), Nathan Zabka (Kelly), Brook Dickerson (Amy), Rachel Courtney (Patrick), Jessie Leppin (Elliott), Hannah McDonald, Derek Eckert (Hailee Beemer), Hanna Myrick (C. J.), Lindsay Eckert and Joshua Eckert. He is also survived by thirty-nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
