He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Coats and Lela Coats; and his sisters, Sue Grooms (Jim) and Lois Ann Huddleston. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Coats; his children, Rodney Coats (Chelle) and Ryan Coats (Jes); his grandchildren, Ayden, Donoven, Garrett, Miguel, Jade, Rileigh, Trenton, Kailey, Owen, Gabe and Paxton; and his siblings, Warren Coats (Hasseltine), Janie Flynn (late Jack) and Nora Coats-Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with numerous extended family and friends.
