He was predeceased by: his parents, James Andrew and Mary Jean Hedgpeth Sr. (Patricia Hedgpeth); his child Adrian "AJ" Hedgpeth (Carla); and his brother Daniel Thomas Hedgpeth. He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Hedgpeth; his grandchildren, Austin Hedgpeth and Paige Pollman; and his siblings, Leonard Hedgpeth (Sharon Kearbey), Gordon Scott Hedgpeth and Sandra Damico (Joe).

Memorial donations in James's Honor may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Open Door Animal Sanctuary, 6065 Duda Rd., House Springs, MO 63051.
