He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol Bacher; his children, Charles Bacher, Jr. (Jackie), Claire Bacher and Chris Somervell (Will); his grandchildren, Bryan Stewart, Brent Mackie, Charles Bacher, III (Sammie), Catherine Villmer (Jordan), Alyssa Bacher, Caitlyn Somervell, Priscilla Shatto (Kobe), Taylor Somervell and Susanne Bacher; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Alex and Charlotte.

Masses preferred, in lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
