He is survived by: his wife Katie Lois Smith; his children, Al Smith, Jr., Dennis Smith of Nashville, Tony Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, Sandra Jean Smith of Nashville and Fondra Kaye Smith of Columbus, Georgia; and his sister-in-law Lou Ella Ashford. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
