She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Franklin Slater and Lorena May "Clark" Slater; her husband Robert Flippo; her children, Loretta May Hendrix and Coy Eugene Mitchell; and her siblings, Dorothy May Campbell, Edward James Slater and Ronnie Joe Slater.
She is survived by: her children, Ronda K. Hakala of Carthage, Carolyn Barlow of Carthage and Rex Mitchell of Carthage. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and 28 great-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
