She was predeceased by: her parents, William Coker and Idell Coker (Brown); her husband Joe Brown; and her brother Arlon Coker. She is survived by: her children, Peggy Ostrander (George), Karen Swain (Gary) and Richard Brown (Melissa); her close friend Dale Staggs; and her siblings, Linda Hunter (Bo), Pat Miller (Alvin), Bud Coker (Linda), Murselle Macmillan (Lee), Roy Coker and Larry Coker. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Carthage R-9 Foundation in care of the Knell Mortuary.
