He is survived by: his wife Jean M. Smith (Bero) of Carthage; his children, Karen J. Shields (Joe) of Carrabelle, FL, Jill McCully of Girard, KS and Jeffrey A. Smith (Sharon) of Carthage, MO; and his brother Allen Smith of Austin, MN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
