She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Reid and Amy "Bruner" Reid; and her siblings, Melvin Reid, Buster Reid, Ruby Tomlin, Luetta Hargrave and Maxine Doerge.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Pace of Carthage and Sandy Murphy of Carthage; her grandson Adam Murphy (Melinda Brown-Murphy); her sisters, Donna Acker of Springfield and Darlene Testerman of Atlanta, Georgia; and her great grandchild Finnegan Zane Murphy.
