He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Thomas and Jerrye Thomas (Taft); and his brothers, Jimmy Huffman and Walter Jesse Thomas. He is survived by: his son Joey Thomas (Karya); his sister Kellie Thomas; and his grandchildren, Kaiya and Jivie Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests contributions to the Billy Joe Thomas Memorial Fund in care of the Knell Mortuary.
