He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Conover and Dorothy Brownlee Conover; and his siblings, Don Conover (Barb) of Burlington, Bill Conover (Lori) of Hamilton, Rocky Conover (Peggy) of Alexandria, Jean Conover of Keokuk, Kathrine McGlasson (Carl) of Keokuk and Judy Miller (Lyle) of Keokuk.
He is survived by: his spouse Zelda Green; his children, Mike Conover (Amy) of Kansas City and Deanna Coin (Danny) of Kirksville; his stepchildren, Russell Pratt of Trinity and Angela Eakins (Ron) of Bucklin; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Conover of Kahoka, Barb Beaird (Alan) of Wyaconda and Vernon Evermon of Wyaconda. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
