He was predeceased by: his parents, James Andrew Patterson and Rosia Evelyn Patterson (Crabtree); his former wife Dorothy Brown; his wife Christina; his children, Larry Patterson and Susan Quinn; and his siblings, Paul Patterson and Dorothy Patterson.
He is survived by: his daughter Joyce McColgin (Rick) of Salem; his brother Harrel Patterson (Pat) of Jadwin; his grandchildren, Chris Smith, Andy Smith (Rachel), Ben Smith, Danielle Quinn, Casey Quinn, David Quinn, Andrea Patterson and Nathan Dennison; and his great grandchildren, Christina of Drew, C. J., Logan, Blake, Levi, Maygan, Martina, Dominick and Braiden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
