He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Grover William and Ica Kearns (Jones); his wife Doris Jane Shanks; his son James Kearns (Beth) of Marceline; his grandsons, Aaron Sanders (Alisa) of Brookfield and Mark Kearns (Meredith) of Kansas City; his great grandchildren, MacKenzie Slater of Marceline, Hunter Sanders, Angelyna Sanders of Brookfield and Maren Kearns of Kansas City; his siblings-in-law, Carol Kearns of Brookfield, Evelyn Franklin of Milan, Linda Fay of Laclede and Steve Fay of Laclede; his siblings, Dorothy Hollon and Junior Kearns; and his brothers-in-law, Floyd Hollon, Junior Franklin and John Edward Shanks. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
