He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Johnson and Bessie Johnson; his wife Martha Cooper (DD); his son Ronnie; his granddaughter Ronna Cooper; his parents-in-law, Pete and Ruth Cooper; his sisters, Della Mae Speck and Martha Casey; and his sisters-in-law, Helen Atwood, Louise Muck and Evelyn Moner.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Jackie Moore (David); his great grandchild Faith Moore; his brothers, Marvin Johnson (Dee) of Stover and Ernest Dale (Ernie) of Sweet Springs; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille Bowyer of Meadville and Dixie Singleton of Moberly. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
