He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Kelley and Helen Kelley; and his siblings, Eleanor Rollins, Carol Hale, Kenneth Kelley and Roy Kelley.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Kelley; his daughter Michelle Smith (Doug); his grandson Grant Smith; and his sister Mary Lou Cottrell.
