She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl E. Oquist, Sr. and Elsie Lorene Oquist (Henry); her husband William F. Murphy; her children, Gary Walter (Leslie) of Stuart, David Walter (Sherri) of Shiloh, Judy Johnsen (Jim) of Jefferson City, Jo Pierson (George), Russ Schenewerk (Carla) of Branson and Randy Schenewerk (Kathy) of Houston, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Christopher Walter, Jeffrey Walter, Jennifer Neff, Jamie Baker, Michael Johnsen, Jessy Johnsen, Justin Warring, Emily Brimer, Chelsea Walter, Ian Schenewerk, Alex Schenewerk and Melissa Schenewerk.
Out of concern for Shirley's elderly friends and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Shepherd of the Hills Living Center in Branson.
