He is survived by: his wife Alma Duncan Madewell; his sons, Robert Madewell of Harrison, Joseph Madewell (Jennifer) of Alpena and John Madewell (Ruth) of Springfield, Missouri.; and his sisters, Thelma Wilson of Carterville and Dorothy Allen of Peru. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
