He was predeceased by: his father Gregory Lee Schmidt, Sr.; his grandparents, Tony Schmidt, Genevieve Schmidt, John Davis, Rosa Lee Davis, Arlene Carly and Aunt Thresa Davis; and his brother-in-law Bill Cunningham.

He is survived by: his mother Gloria Jeanie Schmidt of Louisiana; his siblings, Billy Schmidt of Troy, Jeremy Schmidt (Tessa) of Louisiana and Jennifer Cunningham of Louisiana; and also, Aunt Katherine Ahart (Jim) of Louisiana, Uncle John Davis of Louisiana, Aunt Pat Schwinegruber of New Castle, Uncle Philip Schmidt of Dupo, Aunt Wanda Gilmore of Elsberry and Uncle John Schmidt (Carolyn) of Clarksville.

Memorial donations may be made to the family or the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
