She was predeceased by: her friend Gwen Hughes; her parents, Gladys Leola Everling (Everling) and Roy Vincent Slezak; her brother Roy Slezak, Jr. (Jean); her husband Nicholas Ligear Shelby; her son Nicholas Ligear Shelby II; her brothers-in-law, Patrick LeRoy Shelby (Claire) and Vesper Lovell Shelby II; her parents-in-law, Lucile Snipes and Vesper Shelby; her nephew Greg Slezak; her great-nephew Michael Slezak; and her friends, John, Jessica Phillips and Richard Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Kathryne Shelby Gateley (Chris), Laura Shelby Kilpatrick (Mark), Vincent Lovell Shelby (Linda) and Jeffrey Lane Shelby; her grandchildren, Adron Scott Gateley (Dawn), Marie DelAguila (Zalo), Carrie Leonard (Dennis), Clinton Thomas, Adam Thomas (Amy), Jennifer Dohrman (Bill), Mitchell Kilpatrick (Lauren Pierce), Cole Shelby (Catlyn Brady), Chelsea Rector (Ryan), Rachelle Kerns and Kierra Shelby; her great grandchildren, Luca DelAguila, Dennis, Coen Leonard, Austin, Ava Thomas, William, Gwendolyn, Henry Dohrman, Easton, Croix, Whitley Rector and Gianna Flowers; her nieces and nephews, Steve Slezak (Ruth), Dave Slezak (Maureen), Barbara Slezak Knight and Sara Shelby Martin (Tony); her great-nieces, Sandra Slezak, Rachel Slezak and Kiera Slezak; and her great great grandchild Magnus Grimes.
