He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Norman Thornton and Wanda Denise Thornton (Caudle). He is survived by: his wife Cindy L. Thornton (Leslie); his sons, Drew Thornton (Abbey) of Kansas City, MO, Cole Thornton (Brittany) of Independence, KS and Kyle Thornton of Chillicothe, MO; his grandchildren, Ames, Reid, Collins Thornton of Independence, KS, Emma and Grace Thornton of Kansas City, MO; and his sister Jeana Reaves of Clinton, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held for family.
