It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Emily Hecht of Ballwin, Missouri, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Louis Hecht (Harold Hecht) and Mary Witt; and her parents, Herbert Meinzen and Lydia Meinzen. She is survived by: her children, Philip Hecht and Kathryn Hartz; her sons-in-law, Harry Witt and Terry Hartz; her grandchildren, Sarah Witt, Christine Bull, Rachel Sutton, David Hecht, Elizabeth Hecht and Matthew Hartz; and her great grandchildren, Maya, Jay Bull, Leonas, Elijas Hartz, Adeline Greenblatt and Luke Sutton.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory (14960 Manchester Rd, Ballwin, MO 63011). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (14088 Clayton Rd, Town and Country, MO 63017). A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Bellerive Gardens Chapel (740 N Mason Rd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141).
