He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Henry and Norma Louise Bowman (Jones); and his sisters, Sharon Motz, Glenda Miller and Brenda Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Shirl Smith; his daughters, Alisha Weldin (Zach), Yhulonda Bowman (Josh Sipes) and Kimberly Bowman; and his siblings, Kathy Campbell, Gary Bowman, Bill Bowman (Connie) and Carl Bowman. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
