She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Sr. Goertz and Ellen Goertz; her husband Arnold Steffens; and her siblings, Velma, Geraldine Goertz, Clarence Goertz, Jr. and William Goertz.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Eberhart (Bill) of Zumbrota, Debora Paulson (Robert) of Fairbault and Ronald Steffens (Julie) of Iowa; her grandchildren, Scott Ellingson, Kimberly Burke (Mike), Kieth Ellingson (Debbie Kiyono), Karen Wetzstein (Steve) and Tanya Sammon (Craig); her great grandchildren, Adam Ellingson, Christopher Herold, Shelby Herold, Ryan Wetzstein, Riley Sammon, Morgan Sammon, Haley Ellingson, Kayla Kiyono-Ellingson and Ty Kiyono-Ellingson; and her sisters, LouAnn Holderman (Richard) and Virginia Pahl.
