With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Leon Thumann of Zumbrota, Minnesota, born in Red Wing, Minnesota, who passed away on May 8, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Thumann and Verneda Thumann; his son Kevin; his brother Curtis; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald and Elaine Gertner.
He is survived by: his wife Gerry; his children, Bradley Thumann (Marcie), Brenda Wagenknecht (Steven), Colleen Pawlenty (Phillip), Carmen Thumann and Marcella Zemke (Ryan); his grandchildren, Austin Thumann (Katie), Morgan LeRoux (David), Reese, Aidan Thumann, Wyatt, Josie and Laine Sailor; his brother Dewain Thumann (Sharon); and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Thumann, Gaylene Swanson (William), Gordon Gertner (Crystal) and Glenn Gertner.
Memorials to Christ Lutheran Church are preferred.
