With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Duane Aaland of Zumbrota, Minnesota, born in Northfield, Minnesota, who passed away on September 3, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Aaland and Alfa Aaland (Cartford); his sister Miriam "Mim" Gould; his brother-in-law Rev. Gary Gould; and his brother Arne Aaland.
He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Majerus of Rochester; his children, Rebecca Aaland of Rochester and Eric Aaland of Lake City; his grandchildren, Allison Medin (Jay) of Ireland and Nicholas Aaland (Emily) of Prior Lake, MN; his great grandchildren, Madilyn, Pearl Medin, Miles and Arlo Aaland; and his siblings, Philip Aaland (Norma) of Columbia, TN, Eunice Halverson (John) of St. Louis, MO, Owen Aaland (Lorraine) of Zumbrota, Nathan Aaland (Linnea) of Rochester and Sonja Aaland of Red Wing, MN.
