He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Blakstad and Laverna Blakstad (Simonson). He is survived by: his siblings, Edith Andrist (Dale) of Pine Island, Judy Kunz of Pine Island, Diane Hunt of West Concord and Jerry Blakstad (Jean); and his cousin Les "Kitty" Blakstad. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
