He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Johansen and Veletta Johansen (Anderson); his daughter Kristine; his parents-in-law, Millie Scott and Earl Scott; and his stepfathers, Walt Johansen and Hugh Conley.

He is survived by: his grandson Konner; his wife Sharon Scott; his daughters, Michelle Honius (Kirk) of Worthington and Nicole Branstiter (Keith) of Phoenix, AZ; his stepson Casey Paulsen (Robin) of Gilbert, AZ; his grandchildren, Kara Kramer (Nicholas), Kody, Luke, Hannah and Ella Branstiter of Phoenix; and his great grandchild McKenna Jo Kramer.

“We were saddened to learn of Darwin's passing and are very thankful that we stopped by in November of 21. We had a good visit. He and I were confirmed together in our little church in Woonsocket. We also roomed together one winter when we both worked for Armours. May you all be comforted by his acceptance of Christ and with the coming reunion of all believers.
