She was predeceased by: her sister Genevieve Hinkley. She is survived by: her children, John Wainwright (Beth Hanson) and Phyllis McPhillips; her grandchildren, Amy McPhillips Anderson (Ryan), Christopher McPhillips, Jason Wainwright (Jen Metzger) and Roger Wainwright; her great grandchildren, Abigail, Emma Anderson, Cullen, Desmond McPhillips, Elise, Madelyn Wainwright and Nathan Metzger; her husband Chuck Himan; and her stepson Dennis Himan (Jan). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Ruth loved to play bridge (which she continued to do until Covid), sew, knit, paint and travel.
