He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, William (Cyndi), Rebecca Bryson (James), Robert (Joddi), Elizabeth, David (Erin), John (Suzy), Ruth Mahan (Tim) and Paul (Patti); his grandchildren, James, John, David, Katie, Martha (Dallas), Emma, Jake (Ali), Sam, Noah, Jack, Josie, Hanna, Zach, Megan, Cole, Ryann (Shkamb), Nick and Conner; his great grandchild Octavia; his sisters, Jeanne Friske (Allen) and Ann Olson; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Riege; and his daughter Susan Brinkhaus (Bob). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
