He was predeceased by: his wife Connie; his sister Barbara Clark; and his siblings-in-law, Victor, Harold Theiste and Janet Theiste.

He is survived by: his children, Julie Paterson (Mick), Heidi Glasow (Joe) and Craig Schilling (Sarah). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
