He was predeceased by: his mother Beverly Powers (Freeman); his grandparents, Ione Freeman (Muirhead) and Vernon Freeman; his fathers-in-law, Edward Urtel and Julius Lewis, Jr.; his grandmother Alice Kezar; his uncles, Chris Freeman, Leon Dwitt and Philip Kentner; his aunt Lavone Dwitt (Vicki); his cousins, Shayne Burris and Ricci Terrill; and his nephew Vernon Freeman.
He is survived by: his father Michael J. Powers (Vickie); his wife Terri (Lewis); his children, Brian (Alicia) and Beverly Powers (Jacob Torkelson); and his grandsons, Brian Powers Jr., Jason Evans, Edward and David Torkelson. He is also survived by 3 step-sisters.
