He was predeceased by: his parents, Lela Lofton (Mowen) and Raymond Lofton; his aunt Cora "Auntie" Lofton; and his brother Charlie Lofton. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Jill Pederson (Randy Olson), Jana Lofton-Etzell (John Etzell), Kirk Lofton and Jane Mattson (Brett); his mother-in-law Margaret Geroy; his brother-in-law Roger Geroy (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Molly Pederson, Seth Pederson, Anders Mattson and Helena Mattson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages to use the "Plant a Tree" program (on this site) in memory of John.
