He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ida Cook (Sayers) and Teddy Cook; his spouse Anna Auginash; his daughters, Teddy and Ida; his siblings, Carla Brun and Diane Cook; his grandchildren, Barbara, Roberta, Amelia, Ina Mae, Donald and Billy; his nephew Mushy Spears; his friends, Joey Pelchat and Donnie Cook, Jr.; his children, Wendell, Richard (Mary Ann), Duane (Polly), Sharon, Kevin and Donna Cook; and his siblings, Elaine Blanchard (Doc), Mary Ellen Stillday (Cook), Sammi Jo Braddock and Fabian Cook. He was also cherished by 31 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren and many more relatives.
