He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth VanOrsdel and Ruth VanOrsdel (Johnson); his parents-in-law, George Pitcher and Gladys Putikka; and his sister Carolyn "Kay" Sartori.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Pitcher; his children, Debra Uselman (Dave Bernstetter), Keith VanOrsdel (Sonja), Jill Hahn (Daniel) and Kevin VanOrsdel (Tammy); his siblings, Barbara Murphy and Carroll VanOrsdel (Ole); and his brother-in-law Don Sartori. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
