He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hartung and Gertrude Hartung (Buesgens); his brothers, Stephen Hartung, Charles Hartung, Richard Hartung, Jeffrey Hartung, Ronald Hartung and Thomas Hartung; his parents-in-law, Gilbert and Sally Mieseler; and his brother-in-law Leon Mieseler.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Mieseler; his children, Dawn Hartung of Cologne and Ryan Hartung (Heather O'Neil) of Bloomington; his granddaughter Megan Hartung; his siblings, Kenneth Hartung of Minneapolis, Diane Heimerl (Darrel) of East Union, Janice Orne (Barry) of Port Charlotte, FL, Colleen Neuhaus (Larry) of Cosmos, Corene Hartung of Waconia and Beverly Schrupp (Curt) of Tenstrike; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Nordskog of Blooming Prairie, Jim Mieseler (Theresa) of Chaska, Gary Mieseler (Paula) and Tillie Mieseler of Lester Prairie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
