She was predeceased by: her parents, Odin Wermager and Nora Wermager (Buchholz); her husbands, Larry and Smiley; and her siblings, Audrey Parisian (Leonard), Thelma McDermott (Mack), Norma Peterson (Marvin), Janice Mickelson, Harold (Helen), Roger, Doug and Neil.

She is survived by: her brother Don Wermager (Jeanne) of Buffalo, MN; and her siblings-in-law, Chaney Mickelson and Lola Wermager of Lake Park, MN.

Following graduation, Helen worked at Federal Cartridge in New Brighton, MN, assembling 50 caliber shells as her contribution to the war effort.
