It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mearl Dean William Baarts (Truman, Minnesota), who passed away on May 14, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son-in-law John Liebenstein; his sisters, Norine Baarts and Shirley Berhow; his parent-in-law Wilhelmina Laue; and his siblings-in-law, Walter Laue, Larry Laue, David Laue, Deloris Dokken, Lois Templeton and Norma Laue.
He is survived by: his wife Lorna Baarts of Truman; his daughters, Jean Liebenstein of Dundas, Betty Wink (Scott) of Truman, Bonnie Skluzacek (Keith) of Faribault, Sherry Hansen (Tom) of Truman, Dawn Baarts of Dundas and Denise Baarts of New Ulm; his grandchildren, Jordan Liebenstein (Liz), Jessica Christensen (Grant), Jillian Kuntz (Rick), Christina Koedam (Steve), Leahet Wink (Josh Conly), Charles Skluzacek (Emily), Benjamin Skluzacek (Ashley Sanderson), Kate Skluzacek, Adam Hansen (Shirley Abear), Tony Hansen (Kendra) and Cody Hansen; his great grandchildren, Alex, Aiken, Gretchen, Gustus, Cowen, Maggie, Matthew, Morgan, Elliot, Mia, Macy and Deric; and his siblings-in-law, Arlen "Bud" Berhow, Elroy Dokken, Alan Templeton, Darvin Laue (Ann), LaVonne Olson (Rollie), Ardis Lennartson (Duane), Karen Rossow and Elaine Gravelle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
