He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Peterson and Hannah Peterson (Nelson). He is survived by: his children, Jeff and Jennifer (Paul Schuster); and his wife Arlene Meyer. He is also survived by many other sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations to Trinity Lutheran Church, Martin County Veterans Memorial (mcvm.org), or the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) would be appreciated.
